b'The Boston Arts Academy Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established in 1999 to raise essential funds for Boston Arts Academy. Each year, Boston Arts Academy Foundation must bridge the gap between the schools allocation from Boston Public Schools, including a grantfrom the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the true cost of a high quality education that is both arts-intensive and college preparatory. Support from foundations, corporations, and individual donorsis crucial to the schools ability to offer a comprehensive arts and academic education.Boston Arts Academy, a pilot school within Boston Public Schools, prepares a diverse communityof aspiring artist-scholars to be successful in their college or professional careers and to be engaged members of a democratic society. As the citys only public high school for the visual and performing arts, Boston Arts Academys competitive arts education and college preparatory curriculum creates opportunities that would not otherwise be available. Founded in 1998, Boston Arts Academy has been recognized as a leader in arts education by the Presidents Council on the Arts and Humanities, the GRAMMY Foundation, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the National Education Policy Center.2021 ANNUAL REPORT CONTENTS1From Our Leadership 11Leadership Transitions2Our 20202021 Student Demographics 12 2021 Commencement3Supporting Students During COVID-19 132021 Homecoming4Alumni/Faculty Spotlight14Building Our Future Campaign5The Class of 2021 15 New School Topping Off Ceremony620202021 Arts Highlights 16Donor Spotlights7Alumni Spotlights: Then and Now 17 Financial Statements820202021 Career+Tech 18 Our Generous Donors9Dual Enrollment | Reading and Math Supports 24Leadership and Governance10Full Inclusion Fund 25 BAA Honors 2021 and 2022This Annual Report is produced by Boston Arts Academy Foundation and is dedicated to the Class of 2021.Denella J.
